"Marytr" - Bachman Cummings (The Thunderbird Trax CD)

"Marytr" from the 2006 Bachman-Cummings CD The Thunderbird Trax.

The Thunderbird Trax was a collection of unreleased songs originally recorded in 1987. It was released independently as a limited run of 1000 units and exclusively sold during the Bachman-Cummings 2006 First Time Around tour. The story behind the songs is that in 1987 Randy and Burton came up with the idea of doing an album...just the two of them and the machines. Burton drove his T-Bird from Los Angeles to White Rock where Randy was living. In Randy's little tool shed they recorded the 8 tracks. That set of masters got "misplaced" and sort of forgotten about.

In Randy's words:

" Years later, when Burton mentioned selling the Thunderbird, I jumped at the chance to get it. When I got home, I decided to get it totally rebuilt by the Thunderbird Car Blub on Vancouver Island. While getting the car cleaned out, cleaned up, and restored, I was given a bag of junk stuff that was in the car: pencils, manuals, tire gauge, old registration and a tape. To my amazement, the tape had every song we had recorded in the tool shed".
