Working with internationally acclaimed director Manuel Scrima, the duo has created a charming visual accompaniment, combining animated and filmed sequences, bringing to life Manuel’s desire to, “make the viewers dream together with Sananda and I, and bring them into a surreal world!”

Interpreting Sananda’s music in visual form has always been a dream for Manuel, who has been a lifelong follower of his music, “I’m a big fan of Sananda since he started his career. It’s a dream come true to finally being able to direct one of his videos. Sananda’s message is very strong and as he has proven with his own life and path, you just need to believe and keep fighting for your dreams and be who you are and you’ll have your Pie In the Sky!”
The ‘Pie In The Sky’ is Sananda’s way of addressing themes of enjoying your life and living in the moment, whilst outside limitations try to hinder your ability to do so. Giving a voice to the feelings of frustration we are all experiencing, Sananda has composed something very relevant to our current global situation, perfectly encapsulating the emotional turmoil crying out, “I want the world & I want it NOW! Don’t gather my roses for me when I am dead but let me smell them while I am living!”
Manuel was absorbed into Sananda’s esoteric portrayal of these themes describing the lyrics as, “very powerful, now that we feel all trapped because of the pandemic. We can’t plan anything, nor can we be sure of anything anymore. All people dreams and their wishes are put on hold. For artists now it’s important to spread hope and make people understand that everything is possible if you fight for it.”

“His creativity has not been blunted”
