#100DaysOfPractice: Tonal Harmony Workout in C Maj

#100DaysOfPractice season 1, day 1: My first #100DaysOfPractice, inspired by violinist Hillary Hahn.I like to start sessions with a tonal harmony workout. In 4 voices, 2 voices in each hand, I visit the diatonic chords of a key, paying particular attention to voice leading. Here I’m in C Maj. 1st I go up in 3rds (C E- G Bø etc), then up in 3rds with secondary dominants (C B7 E- D7 G etc), then down in 4ths (C G D- A- etc), then down in 4ths with secondary diminished chords, and finally up in 2nds, then up in 2nds with secondary dominants. The idea is to be improvising every move in the moment, not learning a pattern.
