Shirley Bassey hosted one of her first of many TV Specials going back to this one in 1960. This TV Special was part of the Saturday Spectacular series where, and it originally aired on June 18, 1960. This show recently aired again after 60 years on January 24, 2021. Although Shirley's vocal pitch has changed over the past seven decades what has been consistent is her dynamic, vibrant, crystal clear voice along with her huge range. And, over the decades her voice became even stronger than when she was a kid just starting in the business. Enjoy

I have read that this song is Shirley's favorite song. Thankfully, we have her singing it here, but for some reason this is one amazing song that she never recorded.
Shirley started as a Chorus Girl back in 1953. But, after the record companies started to notice that she was an exceptional singer, she started move to the front in musical theatre. And, in 1953, she received her first recording contract. Shirley eventually gave up her dancing shoes, but on occasion over the last 70 years she would show her beautiful dancing
