My fourth in this Performance Series in March to celebrate #womanhistorymonth. To perform live next to the ancient site of a 1200 year old Shiva Temple in Pali, built by King Vikramaditya, 9th century was a honour at the Pali Mahotsav (The first #Rupaiya & second #BekhaufAzad have been trending for a fortnight thanks to your love, hoping the third ‘Mangal Gaan’ heads there too ). The legend of Shiva & Parvati as the eternal lovers & cosmic couple is known but the insight of how Durga aka Parvathi aka Chandi aka Tara devi .. the many names of the mother goddess takes on her fierce avatar or resorts to violence only when she has to protect the vulnerable , her children is truly a powerful insight about #womanhood . One that humankind & ‘man’kind can learn from.
