A big hit single by The Kinks, released worldwide in early 1965, reaching the top of the UK charts and number 6 in the US – the group's joint highest-charting single there. Featured on their second studio album Kind of Kinks. According to Ray Davies, the music for the track was written on a train to the studio in London, and the lyrics were written in a coffee shop during a recording break.
