Elton John - Nobody Wins

‘Nobody Wins’ was the first single from Elton John’s fifteenth studio album ‘The Fox’ which was released in 1981. The inspiration for the song came from Elton discovering Janic Prevost's J'Veux d'la Tendresse ["I Want Tenderness"] on his car radio while in France and was so impressed that he pulled off to the side of the road to listen. He later asked Gary Osborne to write English lyrics to the song. Gary got to work and crafted lyrics that portray the feelings of a child whose parents had once loved each other but whose relationship had descended into acrimony and argument.

Visions, originally released on VHS in 1982, was created for The Fox & noted as one of the first long-form visual albums. The videos were conceptualised by Keith Williams and directed by Russell Mulcahy and available now officially on YouTube for the first time. Watch here: https://EltonJohn.lnk.to/TheFoxPlaylistPY
