The world premiere of my song cycle "You and I, I and You," presented by the Catalyst New Music: FUSE Recital, in conjunction with Boston Singers Resource! This was a three-way collaboration with lyricist Alejandra Martinez, soprano Jessica Toupin, and myself as composer. Alej's warm reflections on sisterhood and Jessica's soaring and versatile voice were a match made in heaven for me as I wrote this cycle. Accompanist, Catalyst co-founder, and best friend Brendon Shapiro always knows exactly how to bring my pieces to life with his beautiful interpretation on the piano. This piece is dedicated to my twin sister Nicole, my truest mirror.
