I always painted… as a kid at home, in class, or as an adult,
i always had a drawing book with me.
Music was the invisible world,
while painting was turning my emotions into something i can see and touch,
so i always needed both

I love painting when there is life around me
when my family, kids or friends are here,
at home or traveling, everywhere.

I don't know those women
they could be a part of me or maybe from another lifetime.
but i feel that it's about liberation,
everytime i paint one i try to set her free
Their eyes are trying to tell me something, but they stay silent

Last year in the west indies i met the Iranien Artist Hamideh Hosseini who paint mostly bodies.
we became close to each other, often talking about self liberation
So when this idea came … it had to be her !

I painted a women , Hamideh painted a world around her .

I clearly felt that day that opening my heart and opening my art
is where I want to be.
To open up until fear is gone.
