I’ve been ripped to shreds
By closeted people behind the safety of a laptop
Over and again
By a hundred mundane podcasts
sermonizing their schematic
Self flagellating points of no interest
Because I dared to think God was bigger than
a thought written down by men.
Dared to think the universe was bigger than the earth, bigger than the United States of white nationalist fire and brimstone mega-churches, built on fear and manipulation.
I’ve been ripped to shreds by fanboys
Who could only dream of adventuring so far
Into the uncharted pathways of beauty,
Redemption & curiosity.
I am to be remembered after death like those mavericks before me.
But while I am living, this cloud of judgment, insane presumptions, delirious misconceptions, will follow me forever I go. ( shrouded )
Wayfarer of the abstract, pin the tail on this donkey,
For I am too much and not enough for their constructed boxes of ignorance and self loathing.
I am tired of being a public figure.
Distorted and filtered through lenses of dank under-appreciation or soliloquy’s of stunted half-men.
I’ve been ripped to shreds for the mistakes and risks of the past. Blasted into a molten cast of constant appropriation of malice & criticisms.
I am outside your walls forever.
Welcome to the party of my deconstruction.
As you live a half-life in your own personal hell.
The Jesus you project upon me
is weeping for you.
