APHRODITE COLORS is a new project by Ramy Essam, which will be comprised of songs each named after a different color. Ohebbuki Antii (It’s You That I Love ) #Purple will be the first single of the Aphrodite Colors collection. Aphrodite will show a softer pop/rock sound than Essam’s previous works.
The subject of the songs are of longing and love, and draws on themes of being away from loved ones, while bringing together people around the world, experiencing the longing and loving from a distance. Through this music the songs bring together these longings and express what many people around the world experience in their lives being away from their home of origin. We all share feelings of being disconnected from loved ones.
This track was produced and performed by Ramy Essam composed to a poem written by Nizar Qabbani.
Nizar was a Syrian-born poet, lawyer and diplomat who lived for much of his life outside of the middle east where he was able to express himself with a great deal more freedom than would have been allowed in his homeland. His work was often seen as a homage to womanhood and he campaigned staunchly for their equal rights. He was never afraid to speak out against Arab authoritarianism, holding much more liberal views of politics than most home-based Syrians.
ألوان أفروديت ، مشروع جديد لرامي عصام ، وسيتكون من أغانى سميت كل واحدة منها بلون مختلف. أُحبُكِ أنتِ باللون البنفسجى ستكون أول إصدار من سلسلة ألوان أفروديت. موسيقى ألوان أفروديت هى البوب/الروك بطابع مختلف عن أعمال رامى عصام السابقة. تتناول أغانى المشروع لموضوعات الشوق والحب والحنين. و يجمع الناس من جميع أنحاء العالم الذين إفترقو عن أحبائهم و عن موطنهم الأصلى.
