LYD is a sci-fi documentary made by a Palestinian from LYD and a Jewish American. It provides much needed context for this moment, because it goes deep into the history of the Nakba (dispossession of Palestinians from their lands in 1948) from the perspective of Palestinians who survived the Nakba and using never-before seen archival footage of Israeli soldiers who committed the massacre and expulsion in LYD. Through vivid animations, it also imagines an alternate reality where Palestine was never occupied and Palestinians of all religions (Muslims, Christians and Jews) live in a liberated Palestine.
