Roberto Fonseca presented his new project at @Jazz In Marciac : the original meeting of Bulgaria and Cuba! This time he is featuring the "New Bulgarian Voices", a Bulgarian choir conducted by Georgi Petkov, who has taken the gamble of fusing Bulgarian folklore with other traditions. We only had to listen to these Bulgarian voices with their ancestral tunes being cheerfully pushed around by Roberto Fonseca, who sometimes plays the piano percussively, sometimes captivates us with the delicacy of his fingering, to know what we are talking about: a culture that endures, voices that never cease to regenerate, an experience that is almost Universal.
