In this new Series of short films 'Song Histories’ I’ll be narrating the incredible stories behind some of the songs that I have been collecting amongst the English Gypsys and Irish and Scottish Travellers for over 15 years.

This first episode is based on the story of the wonderful little ballad Banna’s Lonely Shore, from the singing of Nan Connors collected by myself and James McDonald.
