Much that once was is lost, for none now live who remember it.
It began with the forging of the Great Strings. Three were given to the folk musicians, immortal, wisest and fairest of all beings. Seven to the Metal-Lords, great rockers and craftsmen of the music halls. And nine, nine strings were gifted to the race of Prog-Rockers, who above all else desire power. For within these strings was bound the strength and the will to entertain each venue. But they were all of them deceived, for another string was made. Deep in the land of Ukraine, in the Fires of the Carpathian Mountains, the Fiddle Lord Lex forged a master string, and into this string he poured his dexterity, his precision and his will to dominate all music.
One String to rule them all.
