Judith Owen FFS! Live “The Beautiful Damage Collection" - September 30, 2020

FFS! Live from NOLA & celebrating the weather and lack of hurricanes with ‘Talking About The Water’; remembering Richard Thompson’s ‘1000 Years of Popular Music’, Julie London & RAH with ‘Cry me a River’; finishing with a full vent and an encore performance of ‘What’s Your Problem?!’ post last night’s “debate” and that so left many of us feeling embarrassed for the USA and angry at all those “clowns” who scream and tantrum through life.... Jx

what’s your problem???
Words and Music Judith Owen

I was shopping
in the new age of shopping
mask and visor
and a spray for good measure
I was doing fine
till i heard a scream across the store

child and mother
they were shouting together
hell for leather
like we didn’t matter
and what’s more
they pushed up
to the front
and stood

right on my shoulder
As I waited to pay
and i started to smoulder
when she looked at me as if to say…
what’s your problem???

and I thought….

bitch get out of my space
I’d tell you right to your face
if i wasn’t so scared
you’d pull a gun on me

bitch get into your car
drive as far as you see/can
if you run out of land/ where ever you land
you’ll still be too close for me

someone pointed
to the circle beneath her
spoke of distance
with a slight tinge of dread
she ignored them
they were dead to her

pissy people
who were they to remind her
pulled her mask down
so we’d hear what she said
we were filled with dread
as she turned red and screamed right at them….

over my shoulder
as I stood to pay
and i started to smoulder
when she looked at me as if to say…

what’s your problem??

and I thought….
