The classic Mutt Lange guitar riff was a great match for the singer's lyrical thrust, and a message of "liberation, independence, and the human spirit" emerged. "I was standing up for myself in the song," she says, "feeling comfortable in my own skin." The superstar knows she was in experimental mode as well. "I wanted to go beyond country music and this song was pushing my genre boundaries." "Man!
