Desde el 2013 las colaboraciones con el gran saxo tenor Scott Hamilton han sido muchas. En la Jazz House lo hemos tenido en multitud de ocasiones. Este CD recoge temas de cuatro sesiones: 1- Una battle de tenores junto a Joan Martí y Marçal Perramon, ex músicos de la Sant Andreu Jazz Band, en la que se recrea el clima que se vivía en este tipo de sesiones, tal y como en su día hicieron Dexter Gordon, Gene Ammons, Sonny Stitt, Johnny Griffin, Eddie Lockjaw Davis, Al Cohn, Zoot Simms, John Coltrane, Sonny Rollins, Paul Quinichette, Lester Young y el mismo Scott Hamilton junto a otros grandes saxos tenores. 2- Algunos temas inéditos de la sesión "Èlia Bastida meets Scott Hamilton". 3- Algunos temas inéditos de la session "Joan Chamorro presenta Alba Esteban". 4- Un par de canciones brasileñas de una sesión que hicimos con Alba Armengou y Vicente López.
En total, 14 canciones en donde Scott deja constancia de por qué, hoy día, sigue siendo uno de los grandes tenores del panorama jazzístico mundial.
La Jazz House, sede de la Sant Andreu Jazz Band, se ha convertido en algo realmente especial. Clases, ensayos, grabaciones, encuentros, entrevistas. La serie de videos "The Jazz House Sessions", empezada en el año 2018, y con más de 150 vídeos (y la lista sigue creciendo) refleja parte de nuestra historia, así como la evolución de los jóvenes músicos que participan en las grabaciones.
THE JAZZ HOUSE es un lugar para soñar y para convertir los sueños en realidad. Sueños cargados de sonidos maravillosos, de melodías que aprendemos escuchando y cantando. Es un lugar para cantar con tu voz, para cantar con tu instrumento, que es tu voz. Para generar ilusiones, para compartirlas, para reír, para bailar… para soñar y… volvemos al principio. Es un lugar mágico donde lo que importa es el presente, el camino. En donde no hay más metas que disfrutar el día a día, y a través de ello avanzar, AVANZAR HACIA HOY, porque si somos felices haciendo lo que hacemos hoy, lo seremos siempre.
Since 2013 there have been many collaborations with the great tenor saxophonist Scott Hamilton. At Jazz House we have had him on many occasions. This CD includes tracks from four sessions: 1- A tenor battle with Joan Martí and Marçal Perramon, former musicians of the Sant Andreu Jazz Band, which recreates the atmosphere experienced in this type of session, as in his day did Dexter Gordon, Gene Ammons, Sonny Stitt, Johnny Griffin, Eddie Lockjaw Davis, Al Cohn, Zoot Simms, John Coltrane, Sonny Rollins, Paul Quinichette, Lester Young and Scott Hamilton himself along with other great tenor saxophonists. 2- Some unreleased tracks from the session "Èlia Bastida meets Scott Hamilton". 3- Some unreleased tracks from the session "Joan Chamorro presenta Alba Esteban". 4- A couple of Brazilian songs from a session we did with Alba Armengou and Vicente López.
In total, 14 songs in which Scott shows why, today, he is still one of the great tenors of the world jazz scene.

It is a place to sing with your voice, to sing with your instrument, which is your voice. To generate illusions, to share them, to laugh, to dance... to dream and... we return to the beginning. It is a magical place where what matters is the present, the path. Where there are no other goals than to enjoy the day to day, and through it to advance, TO ADVANCE TODAY, because if we are happy doing what we do today, we will always be happy.
