On the final day of 2020, Soren Staff (of the band Them Coulee Boys) made his way to The Hive, a small studio owned by Grammy-winner Brian Joseph in Eau Claire, WI. Tracking for their new album Namesake was finished, or so he thought. A week ago, Joseph called Staff and convinced him that the song they set aside for another record needed to be made. On New Years Eve day, they built the song from the ground up, in an act of grace befitting of the title, Hallelujah.
