I’ve gotten requests to upload the score for Book One, so it can be heard without the narration — so here you go! And I’m planning on uploading it to streaming services as well, but I figured I would just start here on YouTube since it’s a bit easier.
In the future, I’m considering releasing both the score and the songs as one album (as in: Book Two would have 4 lyric songs and 8 instrumentals). It’d make for a bit of a strange listen, but I’m not sure how often people really listen to complete albums these days. And I plan on rearranging everything at the end of the whole project to make it all more cohesive in retrospect, so perhaps it doesn’t matter either way.
As for the video, this is just a collection of process clips from painting the imagery for Book One. I really like watching process videos — I find them weirdly hypnotic, like watching a fire — so I figured it’s as good a visual as any. Otherwise, I’m busy at work on Book Two, and I’ll be sure to give notice when it’s ready to go. And thanks again to everyone who checked out part one. I honestly figured this project would be more personal than not, and that the pace and style wouldn’t be very appealing to very many people. This has been a far better reception than I was anticipating. So thanks a lot! I guess you never know. And more is coming fairly soon.
