It was exactly one year ago on Jan. 18, 2020 that this video was taken. Baxter is a strong, sweet Beagle who just turned 16 years old on January 13, 2021. He has been struggling the past two years. In February of 2019, Baxter was attacked by a big dog. He suffered the affects of that attack and received a skin graft on his side. Shortly after that, he was diagnosed with a skin cancer in his mouth. He had surgery to remove the melanoma and received a skin graft on the cancer area to cover the area up. He has experienced two vestibular episodes over the past 2 years. He had his left eye removed in 2013 because of glaucoma complications. On January 2, 2021, Bax had to have his right eye removed because a melanoma tumor was pushing his eye so that it bulged out. Right now he is fighting Cancer and having to deal with a left hind leg that is not working properly. So you can see that Baxter is quite a warrior and we are doing all we can for him. He still is eating well and shows that he is happy, even though he is blind and adjusting to that!
