Before my new album ‘Midair’ even hits the streets,
my dearest friend Gijs Coolen already made a rework of one song, called ‘Fool’.
Listening to it I immediately knew I had to make a dance video to it.
Back in the day I used to dance as much as I used to hang around the piano,
only dancing never became part of my profession. Until now. :D
The last few years I have been doing a lot solo.
I have sometimes missed the kinship in creative processes I was so used to when working with my former bands. I couldn’t have been happier than when I asked people close to me: “Would you come dance with me in a music video?” (none of them being dancers) they all said YES immediately.
I believe you can sense our friendship in this video. These are (some of) the kind people I work with, laugh and sometimes cry with. Most of them make their own art whether this be in music or drawing. Go on and check out their awesome stuff: Petra Bouwens, Miriam Moczko, Rutger Drenth, Maame Joses, Marianne Oldenburg (Ode to the Quiet) & Lot Macrander and Merel Ouwehand. The video was created by Dennis Spee at Studio Blauwvos.
