First of all, I love George's glasses. And that's in addition to loving his work, both solo and with Granny's Attic, a British trad folk trio. I've waited a while for his version to arrive, because he's so busy - he plays in a duo with Matt Quinn, works with Leeds-based ceilidh band "Captain Bullhead", appeared in Mick Ryan's folk opera "Here At the Fair", and is in general one of the busier people I know. George's version amplifies on my original three chords, lending certain lines a darkness they might not have otherwise, and he manages to convey simplicity and complexity at the same time - one of the hardest things for an artist to do.
