On the back of his European Tour in autumn 2023 the Berlin based producer Fritz Kalkbrenner releases his new Single „Set You Free“. With his latest production he ventures back to his musical roots in the world of electronic music. He showcases classic US undergound house music elements combined with well placed soul flavoured vocal samples. Based on a strong 4 / 4 beat coming from a Roland 909 „Set You Free“ is made for the dancefloor in the first place but also have a nice deep listening aspect for House Music connoisseurs.
About the music video
The film depicts four characters „deep listening to themself“. Stuck in layers of wants. They grasp the moment of running away, freeing themselves and thereby letting go — Of a situation, of someone, something or themselves. What flashes up are inner conflicts that are disguised as daydreams and abstractly illustrate their confrontation with the Now.
Once they are free of covering layers, naked, they arrive in reality, meet people on a similar path and arrive with them. In a place that keeps neatly sorted what they have left behind.
