Hallelujah (Easter Version) by Evie Clair - Live Shadow Play Performance

Happy Easter! Enjoy this shadow play created by the Parkville Ward with origin lyrics by me, Evie Clair. This was a live performance for the local Easter celebration. Christ lives. I am so grateful for His sacrifice and for the knowledge I have of Him. He loves me. He loves you. Very happy Easter.

Hallelujah (Easter Version)

(Luke 2:7; 49-52)
a baby boy, born in stall
he came to earth to save us all
his mother mary knew he was her Savior
just a child but he grew with love
he found favor with God above
and with his faith he taught them, hallelujah

hallelujah
hallelujah….

(Luke 3:21-22)
although there was no sin in him
he showed us how to live again
by washing in the river, hallelujah
the holy dove descended low
a voice above declared to all
“Thou art my Son, beloved,” hallelujah

hallelujah
hallelujah….

(John 5:8, Luke 8:24, John 3:17)
then with his hands he healed the weak
made lame to walk, and dumb to speak,
he stills the storm that rages on inside you
he did not come to fight a war,
but save us all from something more
from death and sin abounding, hallelujah

hallelujah
hallelujah….

(D&C 19:18-19)
gethsemane,,, he alone
could bear the sins of all the world
so we would truly never be forgotten
our savior, lord, the god of all
did tremble. to his knees did fall
partook the bitter cup, oh hallelujah

hallelujah
hallelujah….

(John 19:16-17, Luke 23:34)
the perfect Lamb they took to slay
he bore the cross, a price to pay
to crucify their king, they mocked and scorned him
a crown of thorns upon his head
he looked to father, god and said
“forgive them for they know not” hallelujah

hallelujah
hallelujah….

(Luke 24:2, Isaiah 53:5)
for in the tomb, his body lay
but soon the stone was rolled away
the chains of death could bind our Lord no longer
in his might he rose again
and with his stripes we too shall live
For Jesus Christ is risen, hallelujah

hallelujah
hallelujah….
