This is up there with the hardest things we’ve ever made!! It started off as a simple idea with our friend Sam Skirrow (who you may know from our live show 🎸) : can we fly through a tunnel, into a different world, and make it loop??! Which then turned into 10 days, and 3 all nighters…tracking camera movements and bringing that into a 3D virtual environment so that when you look beyond any point in the video to the next scene the cameras are moving the exact same way (otherwise, it looks like you are staring down a train with carriages moving independently). We made custom 3D clothes, a meta human of Elle Duhé using the app “in3D,” (which u can get on a phone - try it!! https://in3d.io/#app ), and the we tracked real life dance moves with Grace wearing a motion-capture suit! The idea sounded simple, but to execute it seamlessly took days of engineering and problem solving…turns out stepping into parallel worlds isn’t easy 🤣🤣 shout out to @in3d.io for their incredible 3D person scanning software and support , and shout out Sam Skirrow for being an incredible wizardly 3D beast!!!
