Ray Charles - Till There Was You (Official Lyric Video)

The official lyric video for Ray Charles' "Till There Was You"

From Ray Charles 1974 album, Come Live With Me, “Till There Was You” is classic Ray Charles interpreting a classic popular song. Originally from the musical, The Music Man, the song is considered part of the great American Songbook. Charles was no doubt familiar with The Beatles 1963 version of the song. This is the first time this track has been made officially available in over a decade.

LYRICS:
There were bells on a hill
But I never heard them ringing
No I never heard them at all
Till there was you
There were birds in the sky
But I never saw them winging
No I never saw them at all
Till there was you
Then there was music and wonderful roses
They tell me in sweet fragrant meadows of dawn and dew
There was love all around
But I never heard it singing
No I never heard it at all
Till there was you
Then there was music and wonderful roses
They tell me in sweet fragrant meadows of dawn and dew
There was love all around
But I never heard it singing
No I never heard it at all
Till there was you
