When I was three, my momma took me to see Santa Claus
Up to the second floor of the department store and there he was
I asked him, "Could ya' please bring a teddy bear?"
He told me not to worry: he'd be there
But does Santa keep his promises? Yes he does. Yes he does!

So now I'm watching my own kids under the Christmas tree
I hear ‘em playing and laughing, just like it was me
