Cherry Poppin' Daddies - "Take It Off, Stella" [Official Audio]

The Cherry Poppin' Daddies new single "Take It Off, Stella" is available now: https://ffm.to/cherrypoppindaddies_takeitoffstella

“Take It Off, Stella” is a song about this working class yob who takes his date to the art deco inspired Cicada Club in Los Angeles all the while grousing internally about the price of the drinks while slowly going volcanic with desire for his date, Stella, who is “lookin’ great.” I reference the scene in Streetcar Named Desire where Brando shrieks and howls up at Stella’s window from down in the street like a horny tomcat. Once again, on At The Pink Rat, the theme of the slipping out of a repressed internal monologue is lampooned. It’s yet another number with a tad of Rockabilly feel to it.” - Steve Perry

Lyrics
Nowadays everyplace has got to fleece the crowd
Foofy drinks strong and pink
For that girl I brought to swing
Straighten that collar
Aftershave too
She's lookin’ great and I can't wait to make my move

Take it off, Stella x4
Up all night x4
Don't be suboptimal x3

Straighten that collar
Aftershave too
She's lookin’ great and I can't wait to make my move

Take it off, Stella x4
Up all night x4
Don't be suboptimal x3

Leopard print pedal pushers
Lipstick
Stiletto heels
20 dollars for one drink?
I work in cement!
