On Monday, November 29 a live conversation took place at MIT in Boston hosted by MIT’s Environmental Solutions Initiative about the role that artists and music communities can play in raising awareness about environmental issues and the climate.

We were introduced to MIT through Nourey, one of our latest signings to Anjunabeats. Nourey, PhD student at MIT's Building Technology Program, alongside her colleagues at MIT’s Environmental Solutions Initiative, will be working with the Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep team to benchmark the impact of our live events and label operations.

Over the next year, Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep will be sharing some of their findings, alongside recommendations for ways that all of us, as a community, can contribute to a healthier planet.

A&B’s Tony McGuinness participated on the panel, alongside Anna Johnson, Anjuna’s Sustainability Manager. They were joined by Dava Newman, director of the MIT Media Lab and Apollo Program Professor of Astronautics at MIT and John Fernández, faculty director of the MIT Environmental Solutions Initiative.
