Here’s a live version of "These Four Walls". John Leventhal wrote the music, I wrote the words. It dawned on me when I was about 55 years old that I was "dug in". Where I lived, what I did, and who I loved had remained constant and steadfast for many, many years. It seemed age-appropriate. It felt good.
It stood to reason, then, that I would probably live out my days still doing what I do, living where I live, loving who I love.
John's tune came to mind and suddenly the first line did, too. It's a song of contentment, peace, and gratitude.
