2 years ago, late at night, Ava went down to my studio. She couldn’t sleep because of all the scary things surrounding us. We were in isolation, no friends, no family. I started to play a little lullaby on his guitar to comfort her while she was twirling around like a little ballerina. Last night at Jazzopen Stuttgart, we performed “Ava’s Dance in the Moonlight” with the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra at our sold out show in front of 8000 people with many, many of our friends and family traveling to be with us on that special occasion! What an emotional night!
