George's Journal - Day 74: Edge of the Earth

March 15th, 2024

Today was a monumental one—'Edge of the Earth' officially made its debut in the world! The excitement of release day never dulls, putting a new piece of your creative soul out on display into the world.

Amid the buzz, Kathleen and I seized the chance for a coastal escape, making up for not being together on our anniversary. The prospect of dipping into the ocean after a long six months away from its waves was invigorating.

I picked up Kathleen from work before diving into some release day promo - an interview with Maddy Rowe from Nova. Discussing Nashville, the new single and sharing a bit of its backstory added an extra layer of excitement to the release day.

After that, we drove down and checked into "The Cabana," our charming AirBnb at Cabarita Beach. It was everything we could wish for—stylish, cozy, and just a stone's throw from the beach. Yet, as we settled in, the weather decided to throw a twist into our plans, with drizzle setting in as we headed out for dinner.

Our dinner at Taverna, a favorite Greek spot, was underscored by the transformation of light rain into a torrential downpour, adding a dramatic backdrop to our meal.

We returned to our beach side haven for an early night, hopeful that the morning would bring clearer skies and a chance to enjoy the beautiful sandy shores of northern New South Wales.

Until tomorrow,

G.Shep xx
