Here’s “Kill The Messenger” from a great series filmed in NYC called Sessions at West 54th Street. The song is off Fat City, my second record, and was inspired by my ardor for Jane Siberry.
Accompanying me are Larry Klein on bass, who produced Fat City, and Steuart Smith on guitar, who was featured on much of the album.
This was a special, special time for me. Larry, Steuart, and I, were quite the gang, onstage and off. More joy and laughter could not have been had, I swear. All play, no work. Dear, passionate, hilarious pals. Devoted, superlative artists. And all of us lovers of disturbing and dark films, which made for upbeat bus travel. We still recount these glory days; the memories are vivid, the friendships endure. Love you fellas!
